‘To create a being out of oneself is very serious,’ – Clarice Lispector (1973 Água Viva). It is important to have a sense of being and purpose today. Being related to personal or commercial branding, it is important to have answers to why and what. Going back, you have to decide what you want to do for the rest of your life at the age of 13,14. You have to have that sense of purpose and being already at such early stage, and if you don’t know it, at either 13 or 33, you are apparently a ‘loser’. You get older, and then you have to take care of the public image and the personal package you deliver to the public. Every time, every moment you have to be aware and know what you are delivering. If the package and everything you deliver is desirable, then even better. Because once it is desirable and, later on, wanted and famous, that is good. How you feel, what you really want and where you really want to go, even if it’s nowhere, that is just a no-go. Not acceptable. I am studying Fashion&Branding, it makes me happy, it makes me feel good. But even in the moments of despair and not being sure if that is where I want to go there is no time to stop, look back and reflect. It is constant going, moving and hurrying. It is my fault not to stop and look back. But it’s also the way I got used to the lifestyle. I am slowly making a progress.
